Dr.-Ing. Stefan Hengesbach took over as CEO of QuiX Quantum in May 2022. Shortly thereafter, he negotiated a contract to build a Universal Photonic Quantum Computer worth 14 million euros for the German Aerospace Center “DLR” and thereby realized the first ever order of a Dutch quantum computer. With QuiX Quantum Dr. Hengesbach won inter alia the prestigious Prism Award of the SPIE.
Previously, Stefan served as Managing Director and Co-Founder of the quantum startup Q.ANT. Having been in the photonics industry for more than a decade, he has already worked for renowned high-tech corporates such as TRUMPF and the Fraunhofer Gesellschaft.
