Description

We present KEEQuant’s vision to secure European infrastructure by transforming quantum key distribution (QKD) into a widely accessible commodity. Currently, QKD relies on discrete optical components, which are costly and limit industrialization. This does not work for security so why not leverage what the telecom already has to offer? Our technology is based on coherent light pulses and therefore can be completely integrated onto Photonic Integrated Circuits (PICs). This is a game changer in terms of reducing the size, cost, and scalability. Starting with an introduction into QKD, we will highlight the current progress — especially within the EU-funded SEQRET project — and explore opportunities for future partnerships enabled by the latest technological innovations.
